Traffic Construction

Extension of Budapest tram line #1 is under construction right now. As the sun shines through the dust in the air, many representatives of the typical Budapest traffic came together for this shot. Hopefully, soon the tram can join them as well. Technical details: 200 mm, 1/200 s, f/4.0, ISO 100.

We have seen so many interesting talks and workshops, I don’t even know where to start. There were the usual [...]

TPP vs the subset sum problem

I put Uncle Bob's Transformation Priority Premise to the test without having the slightest idea of the optimal solution, eliminating any effect on the resulting algorithm from my preliminary knowledge, but still being able to google for the best known solution after the fact to compare it with the one pure TPP and Test Driven Development yields!

CI screensaver

I usually use a blank screen as a screensaver, but a couple of days ago, a weird idea came to my mind: what if my screensaver showed recent screenshots of Jenkins or Travis CI projects? First I tried to run Firefox with a custom profile using a hidden X display and then take a screenshot [...]

Programming in handstand

My talk at PHPMeetup Budapest about doing the FizzBuzz kata with some weird constraints, such as not using loops, if statements and ternaries, and what can be learnt from such an exercise. (Slides are in Hungarian but most of them contains nothing but code.)
